Green Tripe

SUPER FOOD FOR DOG'S

Green Tripe, SUPER FOOD for dogs!

What is Green Tripe?

Tripe is the stomach of a ruminating (grazing) animal (cattle, bision, buffalo, sheep, deer, goats, antelope, etc). The unique stomachs of ruminants have four chambers which systematically break down grasses with a slew of digestive enzymes, gastric juices and amino acids. The four chambers of such a stomach are known as the rumen, reticulum, omasum & the abomasum. The food the animal eats (i.e. grass, hay) is swallowed unchewed & passes into the rumen & reticulum where it is then regurgitated, chewed & mixed with saliva. It is again swallowed & then passed through the reticulum & omasum into the abomasum, where it is then further broken down by the gastric juices, amino acids & other digestive enzymes.

How can something so disgusting and smelly be so good?

What makes green tripe so good? Well, there are a few notable items. First, these same gastric juices & enzymes not only aid the animal in digestion, but also aid the dog in digesting & efficiently utilizing his food. It provides a high profile of amino acids that are necessary for muscular development. Tripe also has a calcium-phosphorus ratio of 1:1, which is great for dogs. It has a relatively low fat content, along with good amounts of essential fatty acids. Potassium, vitamins, magnesium, are all components to tripe and beneficial to mans best friend. And beyond the chemical compositions of tripe, the food contains good amounts of lactobacillus acidophilus which we’re likely all aware of thanks to yogurt commercials as being a pro-biotic and aides in digestion. Green tripe also contains the essential fatty acids, Linoleic and Linolenic, in their recommended proportions.

Benefits of Lactobacillus Acidophilus

• Treats and prevents infections
• Treats diarrhea and GI infections
• Aids digestion
• Treats chronic constipation
• Treats symptoms of Irritable Bowel Syndrome
• Enhances the immune system
• Lowers the risk of pollen allergies

Why Green and not White Tripe?

“Green” (or “dirty”) tripe is tripe in an unprocessed raw natural state. Grocery store bland white tripe has been bleached, scalded, and sterilized prior to ever making the store shelf. Unfortunately for our canine friends, this processing kills off all the goodness they get from it along with the natural smells which drive them bonkers
Green tripe has been a well-known secret of top breeders/kennels of performance dogs for many years.
